The Uffizi museum hosts illustrious painting masterpieces in chronologically order: starting from Cimabue and his painting the path shows Giotto’s gothic revolution until the richness of the late gothic of Gentile da Fabriano.
The Renaissance is represented by the works of Masaccio, Paolo Uccello, Piero della Francesca and Filippo Lippi; while the golden age of Florence during Lorenzo il Magnifico is represented by the masterpieces of Sandro Botticelli, the Birth of Venus and the Allegory of Spring. The exposition continues with the paintings of Leonardo da Vinci and with the only one painting that was attested as done by Michelangelo, the Doni Tondo; and then Raphael and Tiziano.
