A visit of the Uffizi Gallery in Florence

The Uffizi Gallery in Florence is one of the most famous and visited museum in the world. Almost two millions of tourists cross the entrance door of this museum, placed a few steps away from Piazza della Signoria.

The museum hosts 45 rooms: the paintings exposition follows chronological criteria but it also places accordingly to the provenience of the works, which come from several Italian regions and many European countries.

This is another masterpiece that has to be seen for the brightness of the colours and the great attention dedicated to the many details that fill up the scene.  The rooms dedicated to Sandro Botticelli deserve a special consideration, as here the Birth of Venus, the Spring can be admired, word-famous works of art, incomparable for beauty and magnificence. Another important stop over to be done is room number 15 where the beautiful Leonardo’s Annunciation can be admired. Do remark the angel placed on the side of the panting: in his sweet face a lot of academics saw the portrait of a young Leonardo.
By Michelangelo, in room 25 we find the famous Doni Tondo, in the following rooms there is the Madonna with the Long Neck by Parmigianino while in room 28, voted to Tiziano, we admire the Venus of Urbino, painted in 1538. Once the visit of the room is finished, the path goes on in the corridor of the Greek and Roman sculptures, an important collection that the Medici family gathered during the last years of their dynasty. Finally, one cannot overlook the San Romano Battle, a masterpiece painted by Paolo Uccello in 1438 that is finally exposed in the last Room of Uffizi gallery after a long restoration.
